The heater (1') has a surface heating element designed as a resistance heating element that is operated without voltage conversion, and an instant energy supply sources electrically connected with a side of a motor car. A controlling device i.e. time controlling- and regulating device, controls heating of the surface heating element depending on an operation of a motor of the motor car. A fastening element fastens a floor mat to a floor (6), and is formed as a connection element pair for creating an electric connection with positive and negative poles of the energy supply sources. Die vorliegende Erfindung stellt eine elektrische Fußbodenheizung für ein Kraftfahrzeug zur Erzeugung zumindest eines Wärmefeldes (10) bereit. Dabei weist die Fußbodenheizung ein Flächenheizelement auf, die mit einer kraftfahrzeugseitig vorliegenden Energieversorgungsquelle elektrisch verbindbar ist. Die elektrische Fußbodenheizung umfasst eine Steuerungsvorrichtung, mittels derer das Flächenheizelement unabhängig von einem Betrieb des Motors des Kraftfahrzeugs zum Heizen ansteuerbar ist. Ferner offenbart die vorliegende Erfindung ein Kraftfahrzeug mit zumindest einer elektrischen Fußbodenheizung.
