Fiber-matrix semi-finished product (6) comprises reinforcing fibers (5) and a curable matrix resin. The fiber-matrix semi-finished product comprises at least two different matrix resins (1', 2', 3'), where at least two fiber-matrix are in the form of semi-finished parts (1,2,3). Independent claims are also included for: (1) a sheet molding compound (SMC) structural component made of a composite of a plastic matrix with reinforcing fibers, where the SMC structural component comprises at least two component regions with different mechanical and/or chemical properties, the plastic matrix of the at least component region is formed from at least two different cured matrix resins, the compositions comprise cross linkable resin and at least one additive including plasticizers, fillers, preferably additives for loss reduction, inhibitors, inert release agent, dyes, flame retardants, conductive additives and stabilizers, and the difference between the two matrices resins differ at least in terms of a component; and (2) producing a fiber-matrix semi-finished product comprising (i) production of at least two doughs of reinforcing fibers and matrix resin, where the two doughs differ in terms of different matrix resins, (ii) arranging at least two doughs adjacent to each other for the formation of at least two fiber-matrix semi-finished sections and (iii) shaping the adjacent arranged doughs to the fiber-matrix semi-finished products.
