The evaluation module is used to calculate or detect a point of impact of the ball on a solid barrier, and to generate an electronic signal based on the obtained data, where the point of impact is defined by an electronic signal. The detection device is connected, via an interface, to a game console, where coordinates of the point of impact are transferred through the interface, and the point of impact is detected at a moment when the ball hits the barrier. The optical ball detection device comprises cameras (16) for capturing the balls, an evaluation module (17), and a trigger device. The evaluation module is used to calculate or detect a point of impact of the ball on a solid barrier, and to generate an electronic signal based on the obtained data, where the point of impact is defined by an electronic signal. The detection device is connected, via an interface, to a game console, where coordinates of the point of impact are transferred through the interface, and the point of impact is detected at a moment when the ball hits the barrier. The electronic signal is transmitted to the detection device so that an image of the ball is generated in the moment of impact of the camera. The triggering device is formed as a loudspeaker. The camera detects an area of the solid barrier and/or an area in front of the solid barrier. An infrared light source is provided to illuminate the detection area of the camera.
