Zusammenfassung:The handheld power tool has a depth maintaining module (10) for maintaining the drilling depth (12), which is provided with an electronic control unit (14). The electronic control unit determines the start of drilling operation. The electronic control unit has measuring unit (34) that measures the drilling path (16). The electronic control unit outputs signal for switching OFF the motor so that a drill bit (24) returns to standstill position. An independent claim is included for method for forming bore hole at desired depth. Die Erfindung geht aus von einer Handwerkzeugmaschine, insbesondere einer Bohrmaschine, mit einer Vorrichtung (10) zum Einhalten einer Bohrtiefe (12).
