The semi-finished product is heated and formed in accordance with a required form for a car body (1). The semi-finished product is made from thermoplastic and formed at given temperature in limited mass. The semi-finished product is produced using a pultrusion process, where the semi-finished product is cut to uniform length for manufacturing a body profile part (2) of a car. Coated components are secured to the body profile part in a material-fit, form-fit and/or frictional manner.
