Zusammenfassung:	The device has a line and distribution mechanism for supplying a partial area (26) of a structure (14) i.e. layout plan (16), with a unit for avoidance of ice formation and/or a unit for removing ice, where the unit is liquid or a solid material e.g. salt. The line and distribution mechanism has a line (36) e.g. hose, with a set of outlets for the unit for avoidance of ice formation and/or the unit for removing ice. A supply device supplies the unit for avoidance of ice formation and/or the unit for removing ice depending on outer temperature of the structure. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a protection device for a structure.
