Zusammenfassung:	The hinge (10) has a hinge part (12) connected with a front bonnet i.e. engine bonnet, and another hinge part (14). The hinge parts are flexibly connected with each other and movable relative to each other between a normal position and a protection position. A retaining device holds the hinge parts in the normal position. A damping device (40) damps vibrations of one of the hinge parts (12) during movement of hinge parts to the protection position. The damping device has a deformation element (42) that is deformable under energy absorption.
