Zusammenfassung:The shoe (4) has a convex curved sliding surface (7) contacted with a piston (3) of a swashplate mechanism (1). Another convex curved sliding surface (8) is contacted with a swashplate (2) and is provided with a coating (9) e.g. chromium layer. The coating comprises a chromium-based or carbon-based cover layer. Relative motion of the swashplate is converted into linear motion of the piston. The shoe is arranged between the swashplate and a piston base (5). The piston base is firmly connected with a piston shaft (6). An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a sliding shoe for a swashplate mechanism.
