The unit has an intake opening (1) whose intake position is variable for avoidance of air inlets temporarily such that high oil level is provided in a region of a gear housing in the intake position of the intake opening due to working mass forces in predetermined driving conditions of a vehicle. The intake opening is formed by an end of an intake port (5), where another end of the intake port is moveably supported at a filter housing (2) around a vertical rotational axis (6). The intake port is formed in S-shape, where the latter end of the intake port is sealed by a sealing element.
