Multiple contact pins (122, 124) contact corresponding electrical contact assembly. The contact pins are fixed by the support. A wire (132) is connected to the contact pins to realize an electrical connection between the contact pins. An auxiliary pin (142) is mechanically connected to the wire and electrically isolated from the wire. The wire is formed as a copper-coated wire. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a connecting element for contacting an electrical contact assembly.
