The protective cap (14) has a ring-shaped bellow (15), and an attachment bulge (16) engaged into a radial groove in a brake piston of a brake cylinder. The attachment bulge is provided at a radial inner end and a radial outer end of the bellow and fixed at a rind-shaped recess of a housing. The radial outer end of the bellow comprises another attachment bulge (19) that engages into a rear section of the recess. The attachment bulge (19) comprises a side surface (22) that is formed diagonally to a longitudinal axis of the brake cylinder and the protective cap. Die Erfindung betrifft eine Schutzkappe 14 für einen Bremszylinder 4 einer Scheibenbremse, mit einem ringförmigen Faltenbalg 15, einem in eine Ringnut 12 im Bremskolben 3 des Bremszylinders 4 eingreifenden ersten Befestigungswulst 16 an einem radial inneren Ende des Faltenbalges 15 und einem radial äußerem Ende des Faltenbalges 15, welches in einer ringförmigen Ausnehmung 20 eines Gehäuses 18 befestigbar ist. Um die Schutzkappe 14 unter Einhaltung einer kurzen Baulänge von Gehäuse und Kolben kostengünstig herstellen zu können, ist erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, dass das radial äußere Ende des Faltenbalges 15 einen zweiten Befestigungswulst 19 aufweist, welcher in einen Hinterschnitt 21 der ringförmigen Ausnehmung 20 eingreift.
