The method involves providing a construction data for a spectacle lens. A material processing device provides a material (22,24,32) according to the construction data. The material is arranged in unit wise manner, where the construction data of the spectacle lens, comprises the surface dimensions of the lens. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a computer program product with a computer-readable command; and (2) a spectacle lens manufacturing device with a material processing device. Zusammengefasst betrifft die vorliegende Erfindung ein Verfahren zum Herstellen eines Brillenglases mit den Schritten: - Bereitstellen eines Werkstoffverarbeitungsgerätes (1); - Bereitstellen von Baudaten des Brillenglases; - Herstellen des Brillenglases gemäß den bereitgestellten Baudaten durch einheitenweises Anordnen zumindest eines Werkstoffes (22, 24, 32) mittels des Werkstoffverarbeitungsgerätes (1) sowie ein Computerprogrammprodukt, eine Verwendung und ein Brillenglasherstellungsgerät.
