The carrier substance has temperature ranges of characteristic temperature point and/or temperature range suited for aqueous and/or aqueous-organic media. The bioreactor comprises a carrier substance (3), where a single cell, cell composite and/or cell tissue are immobilized inside the carrier substance and/or at one of the limiting surfaces of the carrier substance, and a temperature control element, which is arranged, so that the temperature of the carrier substance is controlled using the temperature control element, which is formed as microprocessor-controlled Peltier element (2).
