Zusammenfassung: | The method for producing a weld (1.1) in an overlapping area (U) of two workpieces (W1, W2) that are partially arranged to each other, comprises joining the workpieces with one another such that the weld has a section inside a critical edge distance from a workpiece edge of one of the workpieces, so that a first angle (alpha ) between the tangent at the section and the workpiece edge is 45-90[deg] and such that the weld has a further section outside of the critical edge distance, so that a second angle (beta ) between the tangent at the further section and the workpiece edge is 10-180[deg] . The method for producing a weld (1.1) in an overlapping area (U) of two workpieces (W1, W2) that are partially arranged to each other, comprises joining the workpieces with one another such that the weld has a section inside a critical edge distance from a workpiece edge of one of the workpieces, so that a first angle (alpha ) between the tangent at the section and the workpiece edge is 45-90[deg] and such that the weld has a further section outside of the critical edge distance, so that a second angle (beta ) between the tangent at the further section and the workpiece edge is 10-180[deg] . The weld curvedly runs partially inside and partially outside of the critical edge distance with a curvature angle of smaller than 180[deg] , where an opening of the curved weld is arranged inside the critical edge distance. The weld is introduced with a section-wise U-shaped flow. The workpieces are joined with one another, so that the connecting weld penetrates through the first workpiece and/or the second workpiece, the connecting weld of the first workpiece is penetratively and partially introduced into the second workpiece and/or the connecting weld of the second workpiece is penetratively and partially introduced into the first workpiece. The first and second workpieces are clamped to each other in the overlapping area during the welding process. The first and/or second workpiece is a workpiece made of steel, aluminum or magnesium or their alloys. The welding process is a remote laser welding process. Independent claims are included for: (1) an arrangement for producing a weld in an overlapping area of two workpieces that are partially arranged to each other; and (2) a joining point of two workpieces partially arranged over each other with an overlapping area.
