Method for manufacturing pipes, involves bending edge of wall of pipe, so that pipe is manufactured along edge of bend area of wall, where tool is engaged at angle for pipe axis

The method involves bending the edge (2) of the wall (3) of the pipe (1), so that the pipe is manufactured along the edge of the bend area (4) of the wall. A tool (6) is engaged at an angle (7) for the pipe axis (8), and the edge of the wall is rounded. The pipe and the tool are rotated such that the pipe and the tool are wound on each other. Verfahren zur Bearbeitung eines ersten Rohres (1) mit einer Rohrachse (8), einer Wandung (3) und zwei Kanten (2) umfassend wenigstens folgende Schritte: A) Umbiegen einer Kante (2) der Wandung (3) des ersten Rohres (1), so dass sich entlang der Kante (2) ein umgebogener Bereich (4) der Wandung (3) ergibt; B) Planwalzen des umgebogenen Bereiches (4) der Wandung (3), so dass dieser parallel zur Wandung (3) liegt und ein neuer Randbereich (25) gebildet wird; wobei Schritt A) mit Hilfe eines ersten Werkzeuges (6) durchgeführt wird, welches unter einem Winkel (7) zur Rohrachse (8) angestellt ist, und die Kante (2) der Wandung (3) berührt, wobei das erste Rohr (1) sowie das erste Werkzeug (6) derart rotieren, dass das erste Rohr (1) und das erste Werkzeug (6) aufeinander abrollen. Mit einem solchen ersten Rohr wird insbesondere die Herstellung eines Gehäuses für eine Abgasbehandlungseinheit ermöglicht.
