Two component polyurethane coating mass, comprises: at least a hydroxy-group containing component (A) and at least an isocyanate-group containing component (B), where: the hydroxy-group is a polyesterol and the isocyanate-group is an isocyanate-group containing polyurethane, respectively made from at least a compound (A1) exhibiting exactly 2 phenol hydroxy-group, and at least a compound (A2) exhibiting 2 carboxyl-groups or their derivatives. Independent claims are included for: (1) preparing the coating mass, comprising mixing (A) and (B) in a molar ratio of isocyanate- to hydroxy-group of 0.1:1-10:1, and optionally further mixing with lacquer type components, and applying on a substrate; and (2) a process for self-healing of the coating obtained from the coating mass, comprising heating the coating for at least 10 minutes at at least 10[deg] C above the glass transition temperature of the coating and/or the dissociation temperature of the adduct of the isocyanate (B2) and a substituted diphenyl compound of formula (II) (B1), in relation to the lower temperature.
