Components e.g. image reconstruction system and gantry firmware, updating method for e.g. computer tomography, involves storing copy of updated components, if local updating runs successfully

The method involves remotely starting an updating initialization on a component e.g. image control system (10), by a remote updating mechanism. A guaranty is made whether the component is connected to one of component e.g. image reconstruction system (20), and control program or gantry firmware (30) to be updated. An examination is made whether a local updating runs successfully. A copy of the component (10) is reinserted, if the updating does not run successfully, where the copy is stored before the updating. A copy of the updated components is stored, if the updating runs successfully. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a system for the remote updating of component (2) a computer program product for remote updating of components connected with a medicine-technical system.
