The component comprises a plastic body (2) with a surface area (3) coated with a metallic coating surface (4), where the plastic body consists of electrically insulated plastic. An electric conductive contact element (5.1, 5.2) assigned the part area is admitted in the plastic body for each related part area of the coated surface area. The respective part area is electric-conductively connected to a first end with the metallic coating substance. The part area passes through the plastic body to a back side (7) of the component and electrically contactable to a second end. The component comprises a plastic body (2) with a surface area (3) coated with a metallic coating surface (4), where the plastic body consists of electrically insulated plastic. An electric conductive contact element (5.1, 5.2) assigned the part area is admitted in the plastic body for each related part area of the coated surface area. The respective part area is electric-conductively connected to a first end with the metallic coating substance. The part area passes through the plastic body to a back side (7) of the component and electrically contactable to a second end. Each contact element juts out at the back side of the component from the plastic body. An area of the plastic body is translucent. The first end of each contact elements terminates with the part area of the coated surface areas of the plastic body. The contact elements are formed in rod-shaped manner. The contact elements consist of high-grade steel. An independent claim is included for a method for the production of a component. Die Erfindung betrifft ein Bauteil (1) mit einem Kunststoffkörper (2), der aus elektrisch isolierendem Kunststoff besteht und einem mit einer metallischen Beschichtungssubstanz (4) beschichteten Oberflächenbereich (3) aufweist. In den Kunststoffkörper (2) ist für jeden zusammenhängenden Teilbereich (3.1, 3.2) des beschichteten Oberflächenbereiches (3) ein diesem Teilbereich (3.1, 3.2) zugeordnetes elektrisch leitfähiges Kontaktelement (5.1, 5.2) eingelassen. Jedes Kontaktelement (5.1, 5.2) ist an einem ersten Ende (6) mit der metallischen Beschichtungssubstanz (4) des jeweiligen Teilbereiches (3.1, 3.2) elektrisch leitend verbunden, verläuft von diesem Teilbereich (3.1, 3.2) durch den Kunststoffkörper (2) zu einer Rückseite (7) des Bauteils (1) und ist dort an einem zweiten Ende (8) elektrisch kontaktierbar. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines derartigen Bauteils (1).
