High temperature battery for multiple high temperature batteries arrangement, has housing for accommodating reactants, positive loaded electrode and negative loaded electrode

The high temperature battery (1) has a housing (2) for accommodating the reactants (3,4), a positive loaded electrode (5) and a negative loaded electrode (6). The charging condition of the high temperature battery is determined by a measurement of a water level of the reactants. The water level is measured by an electrical resistance measurement. The two reactants are separated from each other by a semi-permeable membrane (9) only for certain ions. The membrane is made up of ceramic. An independent claim is included for a method for detecting the charging condition of a high temperature battery.
