Modified polyolefin based on a base polyolefin, which has specific content of propylene and isotactic poly(propylene)-triad and is grafted with silane e.g. vinyltrimethoxy silane, useful as or in molding composition and adhesives

Modified polyolefin based on at least one base polyolefin, is claimed, where the base polyolefin: has a propylene content of 50-90 wt.%, calculated by 1>3>C-NMR-spectroscopy, an isotactic poly(propylene)-triad content of 40-80 wt.%, relative to the total detected propylene triad and calculated by 1>3>C-NMR-spectroscopy; exhibits a solubility in xylene, at room temperature, of less than 96 wt.% and a solubility in tetrahydrofuran, at room temperature, of at least 10 wt.% and maximum of 62 wt.%; and is grafted with one or more silane. Independent claims are included for: (1) a method for preparing the modified polyolefin comprising contacting the silane with at least one radical starter, where a grafting reaction of the silane takes place on the base polyolefin; and (2) a molding composition, protective composition, adhesive, sealant, marking composition, coating composition, sealing strips, roofing membranes, primer, primer formulation, adhesive formulation, dispersion, suspension and/or emulsion comprising the modified polyolefin.
