The hovercraft (10) has a driving blower (18), where control flaps (24) and brake flaps (26) are arranged at an air outlet side (22). The control flaps and brake flaps are operable by a controller (16). The control flaps and the brake flaps are separately operable by respective control units (42, 44). Control board-sided and/or port-sided control flaps (32, 38) and control board-sided and/or port-sided brake flaps (34, 40) are arranged at a control board side (30) and a port side (36) of the hovercraft respectively.
