The thrust force is increased to a maximum thrust force (F m a x) plastically deforming one of the components in the area of the connecting point. The method for welding of components (2, 3) by resistance spot welding, comprises setting a welding electrode (4, 5) on a connecting point (6) provided with a welding joint, applying a thrust force (F) on the connecting point by the welding electrode, and welding the components with one another by a welding current (I) supplied over the welding electrode during the connecting point is impinged with a welding thrust force (F s). The thrust force is increased to a maximum thrust force (F m a x) plastically deforming one of the components in the area of the connecting point after setting the welding electrode on the connecting point and is reduced after reaching the maximum thrust force. The welding current is supplied to the connecting point during or after reaching the given welding thrust force. During a time period after reaching the maximum thrust force, the thrust force remains at the maximum thrust force and is kept constant. The welding current remains at the maximum welding current during a time period after reaching the maximum welding current (I m a x).
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Verschweißen von zumindest zwei Bauteilen mittels Widerstandsschweißen, insbesondere Widerstandspunktschweißen, bei welchem zumindest eine Schweißelektrode auf eine mit einer Verschweißung zu versehende Verbindungsstelle aufgesetzt und mittels der Schweißelektrode eine Druckkraft (F) auf die Verbindungsstelle aufgebracht wird, wobei die Bauteile mittels eines über die Schweißelektrode zugeführten Schweißstromes (I) miteinander verschweißt werden, während die Verbindungsstelle mit einer Schweißdruckkraft (Fs) beaufschlagt wird.
