Die Erfindung betrifft ein Ölfiltersystem, insbesondere zur Filterung von Motorenöl von Kraftfahrzeugen, das einen Öleinlass, eine dem Öleinlass nachgeschaltete, wenigstens ein Filterelement umfassenden Filterelementanordnung und einen der Filterelementanordnung nachgeschalteten Ölauslass umfasst, wobei am Öleinlass ein Öleinlasssensor zur Erfassung des von der Anzahl und/oder Größe der im Öl vorhandenen Partikel abhängigen Verschmutzungsgrads vorgesehen ist, dass die Filterelementanordnung derart ausgebildet und ansteuerbar ist, dass sie in unterschiedlichen Betriebslagen mit unterschiedlichen Filterwirkungen betreibbar ist, und dass eine Steuereinheit zur Ansteuerung der Filterelementanordnung in Abhängigkeit des vom Öleinlasssensor erfassten Verschmutzungsgrads vorgesehen ist. Die Erfindung betrifft außerdem ein Verfahren zum Betreiben eines Ölfiltersystems. |
