Zusammenfassung:Production of a coin comprises providing a recess (3) in one surface of a cast or minted coin (1) during the casting process, and fixing an ampoule (5) into the recess. An independent claim is also included for a coin produced by the above process. Preferred Features: A liquid (11) is inserted into the ampoule before the ampoule is fixed into the surface and then the ampoule is sealed. The ampoule is made from a transparent material. Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer Münze, bei dem eine Münze 1, 1' aus wenigstens einem Metall und/oder Legierung gegossen oder geprägt wird, wobei eine Ausnehmung 3, 3' wenigstens in der Oberfläche der Münze 1, 1 insbesondere mittels Gießformen vorgesehen ist oder insbesondere mittels Stanzen, Schlitzen, Fräsen, Bohren, Sägen vorgesehen wird und in der Ausnehmung 3, 3' eine Ampulle 5 befestigt wird.
