The container has front and rear frames (10, 30), and a body (20) provided between the front and rear frames. Bent sheet metal sections are provided on sides or on roof of the body, where the metal sections include an overlapping region in which the adjacent bent sheet metal sections overlap each other. The metal sections are connected with each other by welding, riveting or adhesion in the overlapping region. The overlapping region extends parallel to a longitudinal axis of the body, and a base of the body includes base plates and is connected with a longitudinally running base carrier. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a waste collection container. Die Erfindung zeigt einen Müllsammelbehälter eines Müllfahrzeugs mit einem Front- und einem Heckrahmen sowie einem dazwischenliegenden Korpus, der gebogenen Blechsegmente umfasst, wobei die gebogenen Blechsegmente Überlappungsbereiche aufweisen, in denen sich benachbarte Blechsegmente überlappen. Ebenso umfasst die Erfindung ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines solchen Müllsammelbehälters, bei welchem benachbarte Blechsegmente in ihren Überlappungsbereichen miteinander verbunden - insbesondere verschweißt, vernietet oder verklebt - werden.
