Zusammenfassung: | Method for the formation of heart muscle cells (cardiomyocytes), comprises culturing and differentiating stem cells, which are obtained from differentiated exocrine gland tissue of an organism. Independent claims are included for: (1) an isolated heart muscle cell capable of autonomous contraction, which is formed by the above procedure and isolated from the differentiated exocrine gland tissue of an organism; (2) a cell composition comprises a multiple number of heart muscle cells; (3) a material composition comprising the cell or the cell composition and a carrier or coating material; and (4) a bidirectionally transformable stem cell patch (BTS), comprising adult stem cells, which were isolated from exocrine gland tissue of an organism; a porous matrix for the uptake of the cells; and a broad contact surface of the BTS for the placement on a broad surface of wounded myocardial tissue. ACTIVITY : Cardiant. MECHANISM OF ACTION : Cell therapy.
