Zusammenfassung:	The power supply has a controller (9) controlling a direct current (DC) to DC voltage converters (3, 8). The converters are energized by a rectifier circuit (2) and an energy storage (7) e.g. capacitor storage such that the converter (3) supplies a direct current output voltage adapted to an x-ray generator, and the converter (8) supplies output voltage of 1 to 10 volt. The current is supplied to the generator when the output voltage of the converter (3) reaches the output voltage of the converter (8), where the current intensity corresponds to a sum of two maximum current intensities.
