The method involves considering proper motion of a weapon (10) and/or environmental condition such as air temperature or air pressure and ammunition parameter such as powder temperature or changing the initial speed of a bullet during the determination of a rate action and/or attachment of a bullet. The rate action and the attachment and/or flying speed of the bullet is determined from proper speed and the position of the weapon. An independent claim is also included for a fire control computer for implementing the method for increasing the initial hit probability of a ballistic weapon.
