Verfahren zum Updaten von Kartendaten

The method involves preparing map data of a current version on a server (S) and calling up current data from the server by a client (C) It involves assembling map data from a number of tiles (Kij) with respective sections of a total area of the map data, allocating each tile of version information (Vx) relative to its update state and transferring only a tile to the client when the client calls up data whose version information on the client holds an older update state than on the server. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a server with map data tiles and a processor (B) and a client.
