Zusammenfassung:	The melting ladle has a cover (1) sealing it air-tight, preferably pressure-tight. The cover includes separate, functionally-equipped inserts (2) and gas injection inlets (5) distributed over its surface, in a variable arrangement. The inlets are connected to a central, protective-gas supply line. One gas inlet includes a gas flow sensor. One insert contains a thermocouple (6) and/or level indicator (7). Another has a charging shaft (3) for raw metal supply. A stirrer (4) is included in a further insert. Die Erfindung betrifft eine Chargieranlage zum Schmelzen von Metallen, insbesondere von Magnesium oder Magnesiumlegierungen und umfasst zumindest eine Schmelzwanne und einen Wannendeckel zum zumindest luftdichten Verschluss der Schmelzwanne, wobei der Wannendeckel mehrere, auf seiner Oberfläche verteilte, separat öffenbare Deckeleinsätze umfasst.
