The light source contains a number of light emitting diodes (LED). The iris stop is arranged between the light source and a light output opening (AO). An independent claim is also included for a method of operating an inventive headlamp device. Die Erfindung betrifft eine Fahrzeug-Scheinwerfereinrichtung (FS), insbesondere für ein Straßenkraftfahrzeug, mit einer Lichtquelle (LQ).
