Zusammenfassung:	The air bag cover sheet (2) has a line of weakness made up of non-intersecting, curved slots. These also have a curved cross-section, seen through the thickness of the sheet. Independent claims are included for: (a) A machine for making a line of weakness in a sheet which is fitted with a rotating paring blade (11); and (b) a method for producing a line of weakness in a sheet. Folie mit einer Sollbruchlinie, wie sie insbesondere als Dekorfolie für eine Airbagabdeckung verwendet werden kann sowie ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum Einbringen einer solchen Sollbruchlinie 1 in die Folie 2. Die Sollbruchlinie 1 wird durch mechanisches Schwächen erzeugt, indem Löcher aus der Folie 2 herausgeschält werden. Es ist hierfür insbesondere ein geeignetes Schälmesser 11 beschrieben, dessen Geometrie für die Lochform bestimmend ist.
