Zusammenfassung:A self-adhesive textile tape has non-woven fibres (1) with a vertical fibre folds (3) linked on one or both sides with a fibre mesh in a series of adjacent rows. The rows have an intensified transverse fibre lay-up located between several mesh rows and mesh rods. At least 60 per cent of the fibre length within the fleece (1) is in a diagonal array. The fleece has a specific area weight of at least 200 g/m. A self-adhesive textile tape has non-woven fibres (1) with a vertical fibre folds (3) linked on one or both sides with a fibre mesh in a series of adjacent rows. The rows have an intensified transverse fibre lay-up located between several mesh rows and mesh rods. At least 60 per cent of the fibre length within the fleece (1) is in a diagonal array. The fleece has a specific area weight of at least 200 g/m. 10 to 30% of the thermoplastic binding fibres (4) are incorporated within the fleece. One side of the fleece is coated with an adhesive agent (5). The fibre mesh (2) length towards the top of the pile is at least 1.5 times the length of the mesh, and no more than 0.8 times the mesh row density as compared with the fibre mesh (2). An Independent claim is also included for a process to manufacture the self-adhesive tape in which the tape is formed by mechanical strengthening of transversely panelled carded nap with peripheral binding fibres (4).
