Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a rechargeable non-aqueous battery cell comprising a housing, a negative electrode, a positive electrode and an electrolyte system containing a conductive salt based on sulphur dioxide. The aim of the invention is to increase the operational security of the electrolyte system. Said electrolyte system therefore contains a minimal proportion of the conductive salt in relation to the sulphur dioxide corresponding to the mol ratio of 1:12 and inorganic solid particles which increase the viscosity. Wiederaufladbare nichtwässrige Batteriezelle mit einem Gehäuse, einer negativen Elektrode, einer positiven Elektrode und einem auf Schwefeldioxid basierenden, ein Leitsalz enthaltenden Elektrolytsystem. Zur Erhöhung der Betriebssicherheit enthält das Elektrolytsystem einen viskositätserhöhenden Zusatz von anorganischen Feststoffpartikeln.
