A procedure for the lacquering of a plastic body part, especially a vehicle body part, with a visible side and a side facing away from this (non-visible side), the visible side being lacquered, is described. The plastic body part (16) is tempered before its lacquering. It is held by a tempering frame (10) so that the plastic body part is found only with the edge region of the non-visible side in contact with the tempering frame. The tempering takes place by shape force, especially by a shape force working against a contraction which the tempering frame exerts of the plastic body part.
