Coating powders and powder slurries containing leafing pigments, used for production of basecoats or combination-effect coats in multi-coat paint systems, e.g. for painting cars

Coating powders and coating powder dispersions (powder slurries) (I) containing leafing pigment(s). Independent claims are also included for: (a) effect-giving multilayer paint systems with a combination effect layer, obtained by applying a powder slurry as above to a substrate coated with electrophoretic primer (cathodically deposited and optionally thermally hardened) and then hardening the powder slurry (or both layers) physically, thermally and/or with actinic radiation; (b) effect-giving multi-layer paint systems with a basecoat, obtained by applying a filler coat to an electrophoretic primer layer (see above), hardening the filler (or both layers) as above to form a filler coat or stone chip-proof primer coat, applying (I) and drying it without complete hardening (or completely hardening it as above) to form a basecoat, applying at least one clearcoat and hardening it (and any other unhardened layers). Pulverlacke und Pulverlackdispersionen (Pulverslurries), enthaltend mindestens ein Leafing-Pigment.
