Zusammenfassung: | Desulfurizing a nitrogen oxide (NOx) storage catalyst arranged in the exhaust gas pipe of a diesel engine comprises recognizing the desulfurizing results in a control device using a suitable mathematical model; comparing the lambda signals of a broad spectrum probe after the NOx storage catalyst; and comparing the lambda signal before and after the catalyst during NOx regeneration or through the signal of a NOx sensor in the lean phase. Desulfurizing a NOx storage catalyst arranged in the exhaust gas pipe of a diesel engine comprises recognizing the desulfurizing results in a control device using a suitable mathematical model; comparing the lambda signals of a broad spectrum probe after the NOx storage catalyst; and comparing the lambda signal before and after the catalyst during NOx regeneration or through the signal of a NOx sensor in the lean phase. The required desulfurization temperature is calculated and regulated using sensors and/or a calculating model. The intervals of the lean/rich alternating operation are regulated by constant times or sensors in such a way that the exhaust gas temperature is maintained in the region of 500-800, preferably 600-700 deg C and the frequency of the lean/rich intervals and/or rich jumps is determined from the exhaust gas temperature and the sulfur charge. |
