Wiper strip (1) for a windscreen wiper contains a hollow chamber (21), radially limited by a back strip (3), ribs (7) and a wiper lip (5). In the hollow chamber are grooves (13), in which a spring rail (15) is arranged. The wiper lip has a wiper edge (9), and with its side (11) turned away from the wiper edge supports against the spring rail in the grooves. The back strip, at least on one side, has a rib (19). The ribs in side view of the wiper strip extend virtually to the wiperedge of the wiper lip. The wiper lip is connected to the back rail by two flexible ribs (7).
