Zusammenfassung:	The control unit has communications modules (KM1,KM2,...) connected to a bus (BU) and with redundant communications sub modules (MTU1,MTU2) clocks (MCG,IMCG) and switch matrices (MSM,IMSM) connected by multiple overlapping interfaces (IMLA) over links (LWL1, LWL2...) to allow hot substitution without loss of service. Eine Vermittlungseinrichtung wird gebildet aus mehreren gleichartigen Kommunikationsmodulen (KM1, KM2, ...KMn), die zum gegenseitigen Meldungstausch an einen Bus (BU) sowie an ein übergeordnetes Kommunikationsmodul (IMTU1) angeschlossen sind. Dem übergeordneten Kommunikationsmodul (IMTU1) ist ein redundantes Partnermodul (IMTU2) zugeordnet, auf das bei Ausfall oder Fehler umgeschaltet werden kann.
