Zusammenfassung:	Cotyloid prosthesis comprises an insert holding the femoral head, the insert being placed in a cup (100). The cup has a peripheral groove (103) delimited by an edge (104) to hold a retractable belt (200). This belt (200) fitted with teeth (201) is attached by its two ends which are provisionally drawn together. These two ends are fitted with a hole (202, 203) in which is engaged a U-shaped pin (300) which is also engaged in two corresponding holes (105, 106) made in the edge (104). Preferably the belt (200) is also attached in the groove (103) at a diametrically opposed point by one or two pins (401, 402) placed in the holes (107, 108) of the edge (104) and the holes (204, 205) of the belt.
