Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method of removing water and water-retentive liquids from the sump of a subterranean hollow space, in particular a cavern. The object of the invention is to find a method with which water or water-retentive liquids can be removed from the sump of a subterranean hollow space. This object is achieved according to the invention in that an organic liquid which can be mixed with water is added to the sump, and in that the mixture thereby formed is drawn off from the hollow space.
