Zusammenfassung:Device for balancing a press ram, in which the press ram is attached to hollow rods 1. The hollow rods are supported in pressure medium cylinders located on the headpiece or stand of the press. Breakage-resisting core rods 2 are provided within the hollow rods. Upon breakage of hollow rods 1 their lower ends displace downwards relative to core rods 2 and activate switches 4 to turn off the press.
