Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a device for guiding the wire rod in the cutter and driver heads, provided with sizing grooves, of rotating wire shears. The object is to ensure the satisfactory plunging of the driver, connected to the wire-rod swing tube, into the sizing grooves, rotating at high speed, of the driver head as well as rectilinear wire-rod guidance. This is achieved owing to the fact that the frustoconical top cutter head in the insertion area of the wire rod and the associated frustoconical driver head in the insertion area of the driver in each case have a taperless plunging groove of large width, through each of which a catch wall running with a large taper is passed. In this arrangement, the catch walls with uniform flank contour in each case adjoin a side wall of a guide groove. The top cutter is located in the guide groove of the top cutter head, and the bottom cutter is located in the bottom cutter head. Both guide grooves lead into taperless end grooves in the top cutter head or in the driver head. |
