Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a rotating cropping shear for high-speed rolled rods, which shear cuts off the qualitatively unsatisfactory beginning and end portions in high-duty rod rolling mills and in which the stock passes through a swivelling tube, between two cutter heads and through a delivery part having two separate channels. The aim of the invention is to avoid interference with the rolling line due to the parting cut and hence to increase the operational reliability of cropping shears of the type stated. The object on which the invention is based is therefore to design the cutting operation between the rotating cutter heads in the following delivery part in such a way that the required motion components in the cutter heads and in the delivery part lie in one direction. According to the invention, the object is achieved by the fact that the cutter head diameter increases in the cutting plane of the cutting heads, from the front face of the cutter to the opposite, rear side of the cutter, and preferably runs out at the level of the rear top edge of the cutter. |
