Zusammenfassung:	Novel 2-hydroxy-3-azolylpropane derivatives of the general formula I wherein R1 is an azolyl group, R2 is C1-C4alkyl or an aryl group which is unsubstituted or substituted by halogen, cyano, C1-C3alkyl, C1-C3alkoxy, nitro, thiocyano, C1-C3alkylthio and/or C1-C3haloalkyl, R3 and R4, each independently of the other are C1-C4alkyl or one is hydrogen and the other is C1-C4alkyl, R5 is an unsubstituted or mono- or polysubstituted radical selected from the group consisting of phenyl, biphenyl, benzylphenyl, benzyloxyphenyl and phenoxyphenyl, said substituents being selected from the group consisting of halogen, cyano, C1-C3alkyl, C1-C5 alkoxy, C1-C5haloalkoxy, C1-C3alkylthio, C1-C3haloalkyl, C1-C3haloalkylthio, nitro and/or thiocyano; and X is oxygen or sulphur, and the acid addition salts, quaternary azolium salts and metal complexes thereof, are useful for controlling phytopathogenic micro- organisms and/or for regulating plant growth.
