Zusammenfassung:A method of producing 1-(4-amino-6,7-dimethoxy-2-chinazolinyl)-4-(2-methoxypropionyl)piperazine known under its generic name of Metazosin and its (+)- and (-)-enantiomers consisting of N-acylation of 1-amino-6,7-dimethoxy-2-(1-pepirazinyl)-chinazoline with 2-methoxypropionylchloride and its (+)- and (-)-enantiomers. On the basis of its α-adrenolytic effect, Metazosin is used both in oral, and in injection formulated drugs for treating various forms of hypertension and cardiac insufficiency.
