SWORD-LIKE PLANE

The invention relates to a baseplate plough with a multi-piece baseplate, preferably a three-piece baseplate, reaching under the face conveyor. The baseplate parts (2, 3, 4) are connected on the face side in a tension-proof and pivotable manner, preferably via pivot joints (7), and are attached on the goaf side by means of coupling extensions (14, 15, 16) to chain blocks (17, 18), to which the plough chain (22) is connected. According to the invention, the adjacent baseplate parts are attached with their coupling extensions (14, 15) to a common chain block (17) with axial clearance of motion, as a result of which the centring and alignment of the baseplate parts is improved. On the goaf side near their coupling extensions, the baseplate parts (2, 3, 4) have end faces, serving as pressure surfaces (24, 25) and preferably crowned, for the transmission of the chain pulling forces. The chain blocks (17, 18) are conveniently an integral part of chain gear included in the plough chain (22). The axial play of the coupling extensions in the chain blocks is preferably made in such a way that the plough is pushed by the driven plough chain.
