Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:	A varnish binder in the form of granules (I) consists of 10-82 wt.% cellulose ester (II) and 18-90 wt.% resin and/or plasticiser as stabiliser (III). Also claimed is a process for the prodn. of (I) by mixing aq. suspensions of (II) with resin and/or plasticiser emulsions (III) in the absence of emulsifiers, monomers and organic solvents. (II) is cellulose nitrate with a nitrogen content of 10-12.6 wt.%. (III) can be self-emulsifying with an acid no. of more than 10 mg KOH/g polymer or a non-self-emulsifying resin and/or plasticiser with an acid no. of more than 10 which can be emulsified by neutralisation with base or a resin and/or plasticiser with an acid no. of 0-10 which can be emulsified by addn. of 0.1-8 wt.% self-emulsifiable resin followed by neutralisation with base. Granules are obtd. by acidification with inorganic and/or organic acid.
