In the present invention there is disclosed an air flow controller device for applying a pressurized positive air flow followed by a negative air flow to a prepared mold and through a plunger mechanism (18) to form a glass container from a glass gob, comprising: a closed housing formed by a rigid main body portion (86), a secondary body portion (88), and a bottom cover portion (90) that portions define an inner rectilinear chamber (92) comprising a main portion of a body and a bottom cover portion that can be positioned for forming the inner rectilinear chamber (92) a slide block member (94) mounted between slide plates (91, 93) located within the inner rectilinear chamber (92) on two sides of the slide block member (94), whereby said slide block member (94) moves in inner rectilinear chamber (92) reciprocally along a linear axis from a first position to a second position; a first passage (108) and a second passage (106) extending through the slide block member (94), and across linear axis thereof; a first port (110) and a negative pressure port (120) performed in the housing and that communicate with the first passage in a piston (96) when the slide block member (94) is in its first position. The proposed air flow controller device further comprises a pressure passageway disposed in the closed housing, a piston (96) a transducer with a suction passage (132) and means for producing negative air flow. |
