Zusammenfassung: | In the present invention there is disclosed a waste water treatment process by reducing content of organic chemical matters therein, particularly in waste water from preparation of halohydrins, polyols or vinyl chlorides by chemical oxidation, particularly in the presence of chlorine and optionally by additional alkaline heat treatment of waste water. In the present invention there is also claimed the use of the above described process for treating waste water. Waste water with chemical oxygen demand (COD) and exhibiting alkaline reaction or whose alkalinity is adjusted is supplied in at least one reactor and is treated at a temperature exceeding 15 degC with a chemical substance containing or liberating chlorine, whereby the amount of chlorine introduced therein is greater than 1 g of chlorine per 1 g COD (based on chlorine content of the chemical substance containing or liberating chlorine). Molar ratio of OHe- to chlorine is either maintained or adjusted to more than 1.5 and the pH value is adjusted to >=6, whereby waste water containing hypochlorite and treated with chlorine is brought into reaction for a period being longer than 0.4 hours, whereby the organic compounds are at least partially oxidized, and whereby the waste water is subsequently further treated or is removed or discharged from the reactor. |
